My friend and I decided to come here one night. When we walked in, we were told that they didn't know where to seat us, even though there was one half of the restaurant completely empty. The food was what you'd expect from such a place. It wasn't the best, but it wasn't completely terrible either. The reason I am giving it such a bad rating it because we had told the woman that was ringing us up that we wanted to split the bill, but when I came home and checked my bank account, I saw that I was being charged for both mine AND my friend's meals, even though we had specifically told her that we wanted to split the bill. I work hard to earn my money and I DO NOT appreciate being taken advantage of. I do not plan on attending this restaurant again. I'll give my money to someone who knows how to split up a bill!
We normally go here all the time! But recently for fathers day brunch we planned on taking a couple of Dads to eat there. When we arrived there was a sign written out Father's Day buffet $12.99 they normally charge $8.29. The food is barely good enough for the 8.29 price. Very disappointed in price gouging they were not that busy to where the supply and demand would come into play!! Won't go back there!!!
Worst buffet I have been to and I am not a picky eater at all. Im pretty sure all the food was from the day before. Nothing was fresh.
I came here with my daughter for a quick lunch stop. We were seated quickly and the waitress took our drink orders. The buffet bars were full and we had lots of chinese food options to pick from. I got a plate of rice and chicken and my daughter got some fish and sushi. Everything we tried was good and we had a great time together. I think this place is good for families to come and eat good food together.
Food is good. The place needs some help. Service is okay. It's a little dirty and warn. Didn't have to wait long to be seated. There were only two other tables occupied and it was noon.
It is a typical Chinese buffet in an area where we have few. The food is good, though like many Chinese buffets if you come in at the wrong time you may have drier older food out, but the service is good. My favorite part, however, is the Mongolian grill in the back. 4 stars, would eat again.
Now called China Town Buffet, it is back to being open 7 days a week, and most of the employees seem the same. Food quality has been greatly diminished, unfortunately. I suspect they have a different supplier. The egg rolls are not tightly wrapped, and while they taste good, there is an unpleasant mealy texture to them that is off-putting. Theread are also fewer items put on the hot bars, at least at lunchtime. Hopefully they'll correct the quality before it's too late.
I just came here for the lunch buffet and the highlight has to be the fresh sushi and hibachi. The spicy tuna roll is my absolute favorite! There are a variety of other sushi options available also. The restaurant is kept very clean, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere is elegant. There are lots of veges and meats to choose from when making the hibachi and it is cooked fresh while you wait! The food here is made very well. With at least 8 hot steaming bars of food, you won't be able to try everything without bursting!
Our had lots of fresh choices with excellent service. It's clean and friendly with air conditioning.
Lunch was only $8 today, which was a great deal considering they have sushi and seafood options. I'll definitely be back.
Good food. Some of the staff is nice. Then you have the crap staff. All n all it isn't a bad place.
Used to love coming here! Great food always hot, wonderful manager...now, im not sure of its management or what, but the food is cold, and they no longer serve crab legs??? For the price im paying, i would expect more!!! Especially crab legs!!!
The food is outstanding and fresh. The service is very good. The ambiance is lovely. The lunch buffet is under $10 during the week and they have sushi, hot foods, a salad bar, and a mongolian-type bbq if you wish to choose your own raw food and have them cook it in front of you.
Me and my husband went for dinner..first time ever going here.. very friendly at first, we got our first plate, a few bites into his he says I think that had a shell on it we laugh he bites again and says ouch, pulls a piece of metal out of his mouth looked like a piece of a Brillo pad, upon getting our waitress she says oh no gets another lady who says we will give you a discount. My husband was instantly pissed he told her he wasn't paying for it. She said you only pay for 1 meal. Long story short they told us you can finish your plate and leave..worst experience ever..most places would be like I'm sorry, meals on us.. will never be going back here..good luck folks.
worst buffet i ever eat food was old soup look like it been there for days crust ring around the pot food was just nasty paid 43 for 3 ppl what a waste of my money
Awesome, I love this place their food is really good and their staff is really nice. Mostly asian staff except I think the owner is Russian or something. They have a nice grill where you can specifically order an array from seafood to steaks and veggies... They have a 50/50 mix of Americanized dishes and some Authentic Asian style food on the buffet. My favorite part is sushi bar, they have alot of good tasting sushi and it always seems to be quite fresh. Never a wait and I have never been here when it is so busy you cant get what you want. If you come late close to closing don't expect a big fanfare after 9pm they are doing a lot of cleaning and they will stay until you are done without a rush. Very nice family style staff and family friendly restaurant.
You could tell some of the food was sitting out for too long. Some of it was cold. They didn't have the air conditioning on and it was hot in there. Everywhere you turn there's a sign that says don't waste food. Some of that food NEEDED to be thrown away. With management being so gung-ho about wasting food I wouldn't be surprised to hear that they scrape the uneaten food back into the serving dish and reuse it the next day. I went to the cash register to get change for a tip and the waitress chases after me like a starving homeless person, thinking I was going to stiff her. Not a good vibe here.
A very large and wonderful selection of food! The problem is trying to make your decision.
The sushi is ok, but the warm food is less than mediocre. I wouldn't recommend this place.
Stopped by recently and sign on door saying they were closed until August. May need to start calling this place to ensure their open before visiting.Closed on Mondays. Seems they have lowered prices a bit, but took out some premium items like crab legs. Been coming here for a while, the food is good and prices are ok (best time to come is for lunch)What sets this place apart is that it is the only Asian buffet that has sushi around for miles. So they really don't have competition.
Nice atmosphere and buffet ❤
The food was very good. We enjoyed our visit.
Came here for lunch today and it was really good. Lots of options on the buffet bar and everything was steaming hot. The servers had limited english, but they were quick clearing plates and refilling our drinks. Come during the lunch and dinner rushes for the freshest food.
Came here With my family & it was great The food was really good &Fresh Will For sure go back.
Third time there. What a terrible experience! Website and business cards all say open until 10:30, we got there just after 9. All the food was old and cold and they started pulling food right after we sat down. When we told the hostess, if thats what you call her, about what hours the website and business cards stated she went to the front door to show me the posted hours but there was no sign on the door so then the only thing she said, with a smirk on her face was it was slow so they were closing early. No apology no discounted check. NOTHING! Will definitely not be returning. I work in food service and am embarrassed that places like this are in business.
I liked it at first. However I went there again and watched a woman put the ice cream from the tray where it is melted with pieces of toppings that people have touched and pour it back into the ice cream machine. I walked out as soon as I saw that without eating or paying. Called the health department to report it. Never coming back here again.
Worst restaurant I've EVER ate at. Staff was friendly but the food was horrible and i am by no means a picky eater. Waste of money!
Food was not even close to worth the price. And after crappy service we were literally followed out of the restaraunt and told we had to tip. What. The. Heck!? ILL NEVER BE BACK!!!!!!!!!Update:Oh and later on I was as sick as a dog with food poisoning!!
I'm not a buffet fan but this place is really good all kinds of sushi, really good food and fresh. I'm kinda picky about having fresh food and I loved it.
Great fresh food and a friendly staff, always clean.
I have been here a bunch of times. I have never been disappointed. The food is always fresh and tastes great. Staff is decent for a buffet. They have fresh good quality sushi. They have many meat and seafood dishes to choose from. Price is great for what they offer you.
This place was awesome!!! I can't wait to return. Variety of delicious food and great service. GREAT JOB!!
First time there was pretty good. The crispy chicken was great.
I recently ate here, it used to be good before but the more I come back it's worse and worse. The fruit was all mushy and probably rotten, nothing is fresh and they raised their prices. Don't waste your time or money. This place is only good if your starving. I only ate white rice and wonton soup after I tried a few things. I guarantee they use cat.
Food taste like it was freezer burned no variety to choose from. Very Poor to much money poor food.
Buffet is good, but Mongolian grill is terrible. Prices are very high for the quality. Great for lunch because it's much cheaper. Leave the Mongolian experience to the experts.
Its a buffet so don't expect five star cuisine. Its pretty good food and the waitresses are always there to help.
Large variety of food. The staff was friendly, but didn't have much english. I recommend coming during the lunch or dinner rush hours for the freshest selection. The fresh stir fry at the hibachi grill was also excellent, but you have to ring the bell and wait if the chef isn't there. Overall, $7.99 for all you can eat chinese food is hard to beat.
Used to love this place. It has really gone down hill in the flavor realm as of late
Wow...just read a prior comment claiming that the food was "old". Quite positive this individual doesn't know what he is writing about. The sushi is very, very fresh. During the lunch hours, someone is making tray after tray of it. And if a few of the regulars are there, including me, we are eating it as fast as he is making it. Now, some of the items may not be as fresh as right off the oven, but this is a buffet and if you want it fresh off the oven, then yes, go to a sit down restaurant or get take out.
they make good food, they don't really check up on you to see how everything is going. But it's an ok place
Not enough food options. Food quality low. My 7&8 year old did not like it either. Will not return.
I have been here multiple times different times of the day. Only reason why I'm giving it a 2* is because when I came at 9:30 all of thr food clearly had been out all day- the lady said just 15 mins. And kitchen was closed. Come to find out the kitchen closed at 8:30. I touched one of the pieces of chicken and it was cold. But the cashier gave me a discounted price. I just wanted crab Rangoon and rice. Clearly that's all that looked edible. Need to keep food fresh since there is no discount for coming in late. Especially since is 14.29 a person on weekends. Smh
We got there about 8am and most of the food on the buffet was dried up. I asked if they were going to bring more stuff out and they said yes. They did bring some stuff out but not much. If asked for fresh frog legs but they never brought them out. So I resorted to the Hibachi grill. I took a couple steaks which were small. The guy told me that it was limit one but let me have it. I told him there wasnt much else to choose from. Even the hibachi items were picked over. The sushi bar was picked over as well as the coctail shrimp. No crab legs to be seen!! Very disappointing and true they close at 10 but every person should have fresh good to choose from no matter what time it is!! Our bill was $41.50 regardless of the fact the food sucked!! We're from out of town but will never visit this restaurant again!! Guess my souvenir is a stomach ache from this place!! Save your money and go somewhere else!!
Although the wait staff was very attentive and took great care of our party of 6 the food was terrible. We went for lunch and although we expected a smaller selection for the lunch buffet it was below average for a buffet. They had about 6 different chicken dishes, a few imitation seafood choices and pepper steak (The steak was so tough you couldn't chew it) The sushi was not that great either. All in all most of us left feeling hungry because we couldn't find anything worth eating. We plan on never going back.
Always delicious! Love the sushi variety for a buffet, and the grill has a modest variety but still great product!
Husband and I used to go here about once a month and eat and we loved the food and the prices were decent, however recently they are under new ownership the food is still decent but the prices have gone up we went there tonight and it was $30 for the 2 of us. Too much money for the quality of food in my opinion.
